Big Bang! Team Formation

To qualify, at least one member of your team must be a current UC Davis student, alumni, faculty or staff member.

In order to participate in the Big Bang! Business Plan Competition, you must first submit registration.

Registration must include the following:

  • All team member names
  • Contact emails for all team members
  • Each team member's affiliation with UC Davis (if any)
  • Industry focus for business idea

Team Name + Idea Indicate your team name and a brief description of your idea

Designate a TEAM LEAD
This person is the main contact for your team and the person who will be responsible for all official communications.  This person should add bboc@ucdavis.edu to their email list to ensure that all communications are received.

Collect information about your members:
First and last name
Email
Phone number (team lead only)
Affiliation with UC Davis*

Know the following about your team:
Team name
Industry/sector
Brief description of idea/concept
(required – we will not make this information public)

Business Summary Round

Summaries are due by email on Friday, March 1, 2013 by 11:59 pm (PST).

  • All submissions must be made in PDF format.
  • Formatting: standard 8.5 x 11 paper size, Times New Roman, or Arial font, minimum 10 point font size, 1 inch margins. Images may be included.
  • Include your name, company name, and contact information in your *.pdf document.
  • Submissions must be titled 'teamname_business_summary.pdf'.

Summaries should include:

  • Overview - business description and mission
  • Market size, growth rate and opportunity
  • Management team and organization
  • Product(s) and underlying technology
  • Competition and sustainable competitive advantages
  • Market and Sales Strategy
  • Financials and Projections
  • Contact Information

Please be aware that any summary that does not clearly address these elements will be considered incomplete.
