The kickoff event for this year's Big Bang! features speakers from the region's entrepreneurship community. You'll also learn critical details, dates and deadlines for this year's competition.

This is the first formal Big Bang! networking event of the year, providing you the opportunity to meet with other members of the Big Bang! community and to begin to share ideas and formulate teams.

Wednesday, February 3: BigBang! Mentorship Mixer

Similar to the "speed dating" event, the mentorship mixer will give contestants the chance to pitch their ideas to a many different mentors and give mentors the opportunity to work with contestant teams to further develop their plans. Light refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday, March 10: Business Plan Pitch Workshop

This event will give contestants a background on how to effectively pitch a business to a panel of venture capitalists. The presentation will include what to include in a pitch, how to frame a business pitch and how to find the right sources of funding. Light refreshments will be provided.

See Big Bang! contestant teams do their first formal public pitch presentations with the chance to get into the Big Bang! semifinals and a $500 prize to each semifinalist team on the line.
